Aside from the time it will save you to deal with a single vendor, having one beauty specialist to create both styles will help maintain a consistent look between your hair and make-up on your wedding day.
Yes – and within a certain distance, she will even travel to you, if need be.
Your consultation is the time for you to discuss your personal preferences, your gown style, and the “overall look” you are going for on your wedding day. During the consult, Rosemarie will provide her expert opinion on the best colors and styles for your skin tone and facial features, and test out different looks in order to select the most flattering design for your wedding day.
During this hour, Rosemarie will create "drafts" of several different hairstyles, and offer recommendations on which design best accentuates your facial features and dress. It is common to see two or three hairstyles at your consultation, simply to get an idea of each one (as opposed to the day of the wedding, when Rosemarie may spend up to an hour and a half perfecting the single desired hairstyle.)
Absolutely. Rosemarie will show you how your hair would look with a tiara, headband, comb, veil, etc., so you can decide what you prefer to use
on the wedding day.
Yes! Any kind of visual aid is useful when describing your preferences, although the photo of your dress is the only “must-have.”
We don’t require them, but we certainly do recommend them. After all, the day of your wedding is hardly the ideal time to be choosing your hair and make-up styles. You should already know what you’re going to look like, and how your hair and make-up will feel throughout the day.
With proper notice, N.Y. Prostyle can employ our professional artists to tend to your bridal party (for Friday/Saturday/Sunday weddings or events only). Please contact us for further details.
No. When you book with Rosemarie, you need only leave a non-refundable deposit for yourself. (Your date is not reserved with N.Y. Prostyle until this deposit has been given and a contract has been signed.)
Yes – again, visual aids are always a practical idea.
The N.Y. Prostyle artists will arrange their hair and make-up kits in an area with natural light (so the more windows there are, the better) and electrical outlets. Rosemarie and her team always aim to arrive 15 minutes before the start time on your contract, in order to identify the ideal space to work. (Please remember that all beauty services for the bride and the attendants must be done in the same room.)
In studio, for consultations and other private services, Rosemarie accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express cards, as well as cash and personal checks. On the day of the wedding, she can only accept a single credit card or personal check from the bride herself, and/or cash from the bridal party.
